Market leader Technogym has just released their long-awaited first rowing machine. It’s called the SKILLROW, and it’s quite beautiful.
The Italian fitness giant has been creating industry-changing fitness equipment for 34 years now, but the SKILLROW is its first ever rowing machine. The SKILLROW has been developed alongside Olympic athletes such as Scott Durant, Rossano Galtarossa and Marcello Miani. Technogym describe is as “the first gym rowing machine capable of improving anaerobic power, aerobic capacity and neuromuscular abilities in a single solution.” There’s no denying that this is going to be a new favourite for rowing professionals and gym-bunnies alike.
In addition, the SKILLROW is the first fully connected indoor rowing equipment that trains both cardio and power at athlete’s level, thanks to its sport-specific design, exclusive technology, and performance-oriented workouts.
Never one to shy away from innovation, the fitness boffins at Technogym HQ have included some impressive features in the SKILLROW that puts it a cut above your average rowing machine.
Multidrive Technology adds additional resistance beyond just air resistance. This groundbreaking innovation enables users to change the equipment mode from cardiovascular to power training by simply adjusting the resistance level.
Aquafeel technology does what it says on the tin. The resistance delivered by the SKILLROW was designed to follow the natural curve of the stroke in the water: the handle velocity throughout the active phase of the stroke is closer to the oar velocity in boat rowing than traditional ergometers. It’s thanks to this that the resistance is more gradual, making the movement fluid throughout and avoiding the backlash effect on the lower back.
Technogym have developed dedicated exercise programs that will stimulate both the neuromuscular and the metabolic components of performance through cadence variations during training are available on the SKILLROW APP.
The Technogym SKILLROW can be quickly and easily dismantled into two parts for easy storage. It’s designed for intense workouts, without the worry of equipment moving during training- not matter how wobbly it gets!
